Edited: This goes well beyond Michelle Bachmann now. Aside from maybe Jon Huntsman, they're all just nuts. This is the place to keep track of them all!

Adam's Batshit Crazy Republican Presidential Candidates Roundup
Posted by Adam54 on Thursday, May 26, 2011
I loves me some batshit crazy campaigning, but this has to take the cake

I'm not sure what Stephen Wynn is complaining about. According to his own presentation of his company's earnings, they're doing better than ever.
Stephen Wynn wrote:
Well, usually, we always say the same thing, the numbers speak for themselves. We had a great first quarter, the best in our history. And we went through it -- we were just around $400 million in the first quarter. We are $447 million this time, and that quarter was about 59% better than a year ago. And in fact, for the 6 months, we're 62% better than a year ago. We are all, in this organization, heartened by the results.
On January 3, -- excuse me, on July 3, I got a phone call. I was in a different city from my colleague, Marc Schorr, and he told me that on the third day of July, we equaled in Las Vegas, our cash flow, our profits of the entire year of 2010. That was a very supercharged thing to hear, but we did $271 million last year and we hit $271 million on the third of July. So for the balance of the year, everything from here on in, in Las Vegas is improvement. And we benefited from a very favorable whole percentage.

Bottom line is that it's shit everywhere for a huge number of reasons. All pretty much connected but most very difficult to control.
And there is a huge need for a leader right now to be decisive.
I'm not sure Obama confidently knows where his wanger is right now. He's toast.
There is nothing a leader can do! Granted some can be better than others, but welcome to globaliser markets and freedom. You get really good times and really shit times. You can't have one without the other.
What you probably ARE seeing is the end of Western governments ability to bribe their electorate, at least in the short term.
If Reagan was running today, he'd be too "liberal" for today's Republican establishment, for all their supposed worshipping of him.
Man, the little boy is talkative today.
Tell me, oh sage of the south. Who on earth is electable from your Good Ol' Boy party? I'm not talking about getting the nomination, I'm talking about actually winning the White House. Give me a convincing argument on how any of them will win over the 80% of America that aren't Tea Baggers?
Oh wait, I know what you'll say. You'll say "Obama will fix it." And it will be hysterical.
You may find this article enlightening, Adam.
I know what he is. There are just times when it seems like I'm the only one who does. Why we ban the other trolls instanteously but he's made it over 1,000 posts now is completely beyond me.

Or he rode out the cycle through to the upswing.

Let's sat that is true. He at least had th entwine to stay out of the upswing''s way. Obama seems hell-bent on supressing any chance of one.
Yep, that's right. The evil black muslim is hellbent on destroying America so that he can eventually take over the world!!!!
Btw: Obama vs. Romney http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/us/general_election_romney_vs_obama-1171.html
Obama vs. Perry

I love the fact that it's a close race when you do Obama Vs. Republican, but as soon as you actually name a Republican, Obama is back to winning handily.
That's what happens with a bumper crop of nutjobs to choose from, I guess.
The majority of Americans do not think Obama is an evil black muslim. However, the majority of Americans do think he's really bad at his job.
If all you have to back him is this "race" card, then he is truely screwed.
Well, y'know, there's also the links I posted showing the two candidates you mentioned losing in the polls to him. But why let facts stand in the way of a good GOP argument, right?
I have got to say that since "universal healthcare" has been put into place, my health insurance has gone from not great to god-awful.
My bi-weekly deductions have increased. My Rx copys have gone up, and my office visit copay went from $15 to $40(!!)
Also, insurance won't actually pay providers (other than Rx) anything until I meet my $3k/person deductible, which unless someone ends up in the hospital, isn't bloodly likely to ever happen. And then they cover 90%.
I am unhappy enough with this that it's prompted me to start looking for other jobs.
Our healthcare system is broken. There's no doubt about that. Insurance companies really are the crux of it. They underpay the doctors (For vaccinations, insurance companies reimburse my kids' pediatrician less than the actual cost of the vaccine) and overcharge and underprovide for their customers.
But it's not just insurance companies. Doctors, who try to offset some of those costs by taking money from pharmaceutical companies then may end up prescribing something that might not actually be best for the patient. Speaking of big pharma -- they throw up ads everywhere, promising a cure for every little thing that might be wrong with you (the latest one I saw was dry eyes!), but gloss over some really serious side effects - like the anti-depression drug that might cause suicidal thoughts. Figure that one out.
Of course, consumers are not blameless. In general, we go to the doctor's at the first cough or sniffle, and we'll demand antibiotics for viral infections. We'll sue surgeons if something doesn't go exactly right in an operation, causing their malpractice insurance to skyrocket.
Frankly, I think every aspect of health care needs to be much more tightly regulated - from rules about advertising prescription drugs outside of trade publications and pharmaceutical companies paying doctors to promote their drugs to strictly regulating insurance companies and setting standards for premiums and benefits. I'd also like to see it become harder for people to sue their doctors, and I'd like to see doctors stand up to their patients and say "no, you don't need antibiotics. You just need to get your ass in bed, drink fluids and rest for a few days."
He's a douchebagian. From Douchebag End.
