That was pretty good, KV!
This brings in the question: Should there be a thread for Decent/Pretty Good Videos?
Then we'd have to include the "Mediocre" and "I didn't hate it" videos as well. Equal opportunity and all that.
Can I ignore pre-existing mediocre videos threads and create new ones as the fit takes me?
I liked 'Plot Device'.
Heh. The guy's a total douchebag, and he was hysterical.
I like the artwork better in the first video you posted. It looks rotoscoped.
I also like the part where Elohim shows up at Mary's door for some sexy times.
The coolest part about the Chick tract is when the young Christian sets out to destroy Mormonism and uses as one of her first proofs the Mormon belief that God "was once a man." It's clear we're supposed to think this idea is vile and ridiculous. Christianity teaches this, too. The irony, as always, seems lost on Chick & Co.
Two common features of the Chick tract are present here:
1.) Using scripture as a "proof." "Your book says that? Ha! Our book says this! See? It's right here! Our book is the true and immutable word of God, so your book is clearly wrong! What do you have to say to that?" (It doesn't seem to matter whether or not the other book makes similar bold claims.)
2.) The twisted, agry, or worried faces of the opposition versus the placid faces of the righteous.

I really don't care what a person's personal belief system is as long as that person doesn't wield his assumed spiritual and moral rectitude like a bludgeon. This extends to proselytizing to people who have expressed disinterest in being proselytized to, engaging in Chick-like smearing, and saying things even subtly demeaning or accusatory to those of other (or no) faiths.
An example of this brand of subtle accusation would be something I heard a lot during the Camping frenzy. It went a little like this: "Well, I'm not worried. I know where I'll go if the world ends." First off, no you don't. Secondly, how about a little humility? Thirdly, how about a little less glee at the idea that you're going to a place of eternal awesomeness while others are going to a place of eternal awfulness?
The first time I read that, my mild dyslexia kicked in and I read it as "The flaccid feces of the righteous." Oddly enough, that seemed like a description you'd use...The Swollen Goi... wrote:

<voice mode="Mal Shot First">You know, "The Flaccid Feces of the Righteous" would be a decent band name.</voice>
It would! It would!
Wow. That could have gone horribly, horribly wrong.
Once again, I am made to feel inadequate for proposing on Corona.
You let us all down.
