Bond 23 - This is fracked

Posted by uncleagent on Monday, April 19, 2010

No. Say it like it is.

THIS IS FUCKED.

We sit through a dozen years of Roger Moore, get teased with the promise of Timothy Dalton, then slightly stirred, sometimes shaken with Pierce Brosnan.

And FINALLY, we get the reboot we've been hanging endlessly for - a Bond in Daniel Craig that sort of pushes Sean Connery into the far distant past. We finally get the franchise off of life support systems.

And now this piece of CRAP from MI6:

Bond 23 - Officially Suspended
19th April 2010

Press Release
007 producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions, today announced they have suspended development on the next James Bond film previously scheduled for release 2011/2012.

"Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on 'Bond 23' indefinitely. We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of 'Bond 23,'" stated Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli jointly.

EON Productions have produced twenty two James Bond films since 1962. In 1995, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli took over the 007 franchise from Albert R 'Cubby' Broccoli and are responsible for producing some of the most successful James Bond films ever, including Casino Royale and more recently Quantum of Solace.

The James Bond franchise is the longest running in film history. EON Productions and Danjaq LLC are affiliate companies and control all worldwide merchandising for James Bond.

Fuck.

I thought that the second Daniel Craig Bond sucked, the action was mostly limted to a hotel in the desert and the woman was forced to guzzle oil off screen or something and her body was found on a hotel room bed, the villian was a little pussy weasel jack-tard and the damn American CIA dudes got killed off again... :|

Anybody remember when they actually could release a Bond flick EVERY YEAR???

now its like "oh we've got a young Daniel Craig and... oh.. we made two bond movies an he's turning 65 this year? or that's really too bad... we'll have to recast and get somebody younger to play Bond" WTF??? its THEM that waited nearly three years between Bond movies!!! why is the BOND audience penalized for it!!!!!!

That Broccoli chick thinks she's so smart, probably because she's full of antioxidants.

Javier Bardem has announced he is playing the villain: insidemovies.ew.com/2011/10/11/javier-bardem-bond-villain/.

I'd better not get hit by a truck next year, there are too many movies I want to see.

Hey guys! I don't condone spam, but if something is truly good and fan-inspired, I hope you don't mind my sharing it. I stumbled on this post from my 007 Forum at Cinescape. I loved the artwork and took advantage of the deal. This guy is good - see for yourself:
