Rabbit season opened last week in Missouri.
I'm creating a new thread to see if it ups the thread number count, since the post count appears to be stuck at 30,000.
The current thread count is 1,569. Them's some mighty fancy sheets!

That last post didn't add to the post count, though. Maybe it only adds to the post count in the Lounge when a thread is created. It doesn't work like that in other forums, though. When I posted in other forums, it upped the post count whether I posted a comment or created a thread.
The only weird occurrence was in the "Celebrity Gossip" forum. I posted a comment there, and then I created a new thread. When I posted the comment, the comment count jumped from 78 to 103. Not sure what that was all about. When I created the thread, it went from 103 to 104.
I still can't post using Chrome.
Since this thread has "Bugs" in the title, maybe we should bring our bug concerns here. There is a thread for bugs and glitches on the "Corona Productions Q&A" board, but I don't think anybody ever goes there.
Patrick:
I'm continuing a discussion started here, just in case this thread catches your eye first.
It's interesting that only new threads are being counted in the total post count, considering a new thread is the only post which won't show up under "recent posts" on the front page.
All right, I just said 'fuck it' and reverted to Firefox 17.0. That is how I'm posting this right now.
Looks like FF 17.0 is the cut-off point. I checked out 17.0.1 and that's where I stop being able to post here.
The current version of Chrome is 30.0.1599.69 (released last Thursday); I'm still running 29.0.1547.62.
I think I've posted the link to this discussion before, but it looks like the problem lies with an application called FCKEditor, which is used to generate the comment box (the name seems quite appropriate).

Some people are suggesting that FuckEditor simply needs to be upgraded to a more recent version, but the solution that seems to meet with the highest approval is the following:

FCKeditor -> Default (<- for example) -> Cleanup and output ->Enter mode: -> Set to "<\br>". It solved the problem for me. The Default value of this field is set to "<\ p>" and FCKeditor cuts a comment.
I assume that fixes the problem of not being able to post using the rich text editor, but I don't know if it does anything to bring back the ability of switching to the plain text editor.
There also this suggestion:

I found this fix on the mozilla forum :
To fix this problem, simply edit the following:/fckeditor/fckeditor_php5.php (go to line 58) and change it from:
return ($iVersion >= 20030210) ;
to
return TRUE ;

Worked like a dream for firefox 17
Not that any of this matters, since none of us has the proper administrator access that would allow us to change anything.
Maybe you update that as well...
If I do that, I'll have to resort to posting exclusively as Thurston McQ. You don't want that, do you?
Just in case this place totally dies, is there a plan B? Can we hang out anywhere else?
That would mean change. I don't like change.
It would also mean new people. I don't like new people.
The downside is that there are no forums. The closest thing they have is a super-long talkback called "The Dojo." It's essentially like a single-thread Lounge, but done up Disqus style.
Jubbers started a website (paperlessfunnies.com) with the hopes of collecting old and new comic strips. She's talked about the possibility of adding a message board to it. It isn't really in business yet, but it's had something like a soft open. She's been pretty busy with a number of things, but she plans to add more content once she's able to secure more free time.
Speaking of Talkbacker, I took some old Corona posts, reworked them, and turned them into three articles:
http://talkbacker.com/movies/reviews/great-scenes-dave-deactivates-hal-9000/id=1890
http://talkbacker.com/movies/reviews/great-scenes-laszlo-sings-la-marseillaise/id=3838
http://talkbacker.com/movies/great-scenes-yub-nub/id=5741
I did a fair amount of rewriting and expanding on each. The "Yub Nub" article is probably the most heavily reworked one of the bunch. It's also the most popular of all the articles. It's a Star Wars article. Star Wars articles are cheats. Everybody goes nuts for a Star Wars article.
I'm in the middle of a new "Great Scenes" article. This one's on Secret of NIMH. It'll be the first article without material in it cannibalized from old Corona posts.
Tell Jubbers to leave the key under the mat, just in case we all end up at the front doorstep sometime in the middle of the night. Dalty will try the door first, just in case Jubboiter is lurking to spring a trap.

Looks like that increased both the thread count and post count.
