The bad guy shows up at the end with a giant contraception and intentions of reforming Earth into his own home world.

Is that why Clooney is there?  He's going to team up with somebody to stop the bad guy?

It feels like they've shown about 90% of the movie in these two trailers.

Aren't the "trailers" two clips from the movie? If that's ninety percent of the movie, it's a short movie.

Then again, you could just be saying what you're saying because you're making fun of people who say that every time they see a trailer. If that's the case, and if I've cut the balls off your joke by explaining it, then I apologize.

Then again, the various plot synopses on-line seem to suggest that the majority of the movie is a "Hey, we're stuck in space!" sort of thing. Like Buried, except not.

Now it feels like we've seen 135% of the movie!

I bet he gives her the last of his oxygen so she can be rescued.

I'm always down for some hard science ficition.

I've always wondered why the Space Shuttle wasn't utilized more often in drama/suspense/action type movies(Armageddon does not count!). 

I guess you don't know what you've got till it's gone.  Joni Mitchell and/or Cinderella were right.
