It should be known...

I just, in all sincerity, deleted all the episodes of Revolution I had left on my computer. Solidarity, Dimple!

Why do shows feel a need to take four month long breaks? I was kind of into it at first and then just completely lost interest. I know our attention spans are significantly shorter than they used to be, but was there EVER a time that this was an effective strategy for networks to take?

Cliff hanger finale ratings boost, and show return ratings boost...... x2!

Is that the idea, do you think? It's certainly not the execution as ratings are steadily down since the return.

Wait a minute, my work here isn't done!

No one has explained the logic in taking a four month long midseason break. Do they all think "Doctor Who gets away with it, so we can too!"

The strategy was to get you to stop watching so you wouldn't get the show cancelled.

Dalty does it all the time, and things seem to turn out dandy for him. No logic necessary.

Didn't somebody like "Lost" start it?

I think "24" did, but then they quickly realized it was useless and started holding it until January so they could just play all 24 episodes straight through.

Upon further review, Lost did some variation of this through season 3. They too then started holding new episodes until January and aired them all without interruption.

Well, some people liked it. Then they decided they didn't. Now nobody does.

I keep meaning to go back through them to see if/how well it holds up.

"The Constant" remains a fantastic hour of television, this much I know to be true.

But the series as a whole? Unclear.

I think you mean anticlimactic. Also maybe, dumb.

I'm still the only one in America who liked the finale then, eh?

I've only seen the first three episodes. They were decent. Some day, I will watch the rest.

Well, I guess I don't understand the entire final season plot of the flash-sideways into some sort of purgatory-type dimension where they all live out their lives as if they never actually knew each other while they waited for everyone to finally die so they could go sit in a church, but that's not something that's specific to the finale itself. Also I don't understand why it was referred to as a flash-sideways since it was a future event that happened after the people died, as I understand it.

You understand it, Quasar. You just don't like it. Because it's anticlimactic and dumb.

It appears that I've forgotten more about the Lost finale/final season than I remember.
