Mass Effect 3

Just released. Anyone getting it? I never got ME2, so I am way behind the curve.

I am a huge fan of Mass Effect. I have two different Commander Shepards that I have played completely through ME and ME2 with.  I was super excited to start playing Mass Effect 3 this week, but I ran into the error where it won't import the face for your custom Shepards if you didn't modify the look in ME2.  It's like Bioware wanted to punish the biggest fans of these games or something.

Hopefully they fix it soon because I refuse to play as the default Shepard.  I want my first playthrough to be with MY Shepard, not whatever stupid looking guy Bioware puts on the box art. :P

Ok I vaguely remember the end of ME1, and never played ME2. So what about the ending of ME3 has gotten the fanboys in such a tizzy?

Don't ask me. I still can't import my characters, so all I've done with ME3 is the multiplayer co-op with some friends.

Since all the whiny idiots on the internet seem to hate the ending, I fully expect to love it myself.

I am definitely excited that I will finally start playing ME3. It took them long enough to get a fix out, but at least I'll get to play with MY Shepard now.

I had ran into the face problem as well, but was able to remake my face fairly easily (I ended up making a character that looked vaugly like Marc Blucas but having ben beaten lightly by the ugly stick). I just beat the game today and will divulge no spoilers unless provoked,

I will say that it's not the ending I expected or wanted (two totally seperate things), nor did I feel it was overly good but it's far from terrible. I can see how the upcoming DLC might expand upon it and it would be welcome.

 Loved the ME series and ME3.  Had a few issues with the ending of the saga, but not to the extent others online are mad.  Just parts of the ending that don't sit right with me.  Maybe the expanded ending DLC will clear some of it up.

I'm loving the MP, which really surprises me.  Probably because its co-op and not competitive.
