Bond 24, or is it 25? Wasn't there talk of the next two being back-to-back or a single story arch?

I guess it boils down to people feeling that Casino Royale promised them a sequel they didn't get--to their satisfaction, at least.
Priveleged motherfuckers. They asked for a skateboard, and they got a bike. Like a child, they whined. Hey, guys, at least you got something. Get on the bike. See? It's not such a bad bike. It's better than walking. It's better than going nowhere.
I am on record as being a fan of Quantum, both in its own right and as a sequel. I want to see Quantum reappear as a criminal organisation. I think this world of lobbyists and oligarchs and corporate interests being able to subvert governments and influence global events is an interesting one for Bond to tackle and a good updating of ol' SPECTRE.
I don't know if I knew that QoS was supposed to be a sequel. I just remember not liking the movie. I also didn't think Casino Royale was Wonder Bread wither, so there's that. Haven't seen Skyfall yet.
I liked QoS, but thought the script suffered from the writers' strike. It was a bit disjointed in parts, but I liked the underlying concept and agree with Dalty that it would be interesting if they brought back Quantum as a baddie.
This is a poor excuse of a flame war.
Casino Royale was amazing.
Quantum of Solace was forgettable shit.
The newest one was boring.

It would be interesting to see how ballsy they are in having this theme mirror real world events. I thought The International did a good job in this respect.
On a sidebar, Clive Owen would have made a good Bond. Or a Bond villain.
I have never understood the appeal of Owen. I am sure he is a nice guy, but on screen I always think he is some kind of a charisma vacuum.
Cavill or the guy out of Hawaii Five-Oh (ALex O'Loughlin) for the next Bond, I think! They were the other 2 of the final 3 with Craig. These things tend to come back around again. Just ask Dalton, Moore and Brosnan!
Where's Clive Owen been lately anyway?
HOLY CRAP I JUST FIGURED OUT WHY YOU CALL YOURSELF DALTONS CHIN DIMPLE!!!!!!
I'd never done the math on that before! It's because Timothy Dalton has a big dimple in his chin!!!! So excited right now, that's a mystery solved!!
NOW IF WE COULD ONLY FIGURE OUT WHY HE USED TO CALL HIMSELF RANDY EWOK!!!!!!
Wait, wait, wait. Isn't "Randy" British for "Frisky" or "Cops Many Feels?"
HE WAS A FRISKY EWOK, QUASAR!!! 2 FOR 2!!!
Give me another Dalty alter-ego, I can crack all of his codes!
I'll need clarification before I can crack that code, but I'm willing to bet right now that it involves sperm in some way.
STOP YOUR DELAY TACTICS AND CRACK THE CODE, ADAM!!!!!!
FUNK HAS RHYTHM, DALTY IS A MASTER OF PRODUCING JIZZ, JIZZ THAT SAILS OUT OF HIM RHYTHMICALLY!
BOOM! DECODED!
I used to have Jizz_Master_Flunk's password, which I used to get into Mod Hell. Fun fact!

I just checked. It was Jizz_Master_Flunk.
Obviously, he tried to master his jizz, but flunked.
Dammit, iPad autocorrect, I did not misspell "jazz," I was using vocabulary typical of this board.
Can I blame autocorrect for my sentence about "funk" instead of "flunk" please?
QUASAR PEER PRESSURED ME AND I READ THE WORD WRONG! IT'S QUASAR'S FAULT!

Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace were a single story arc. People shat all over Quantum of Solace.
I know we've talked about this ad nauseum, but I'm still not sure why people turned so violently against Quantum of Solace.
