Latino Review has discovered that a screenplay for a proposed Bizarro Superman spinoff movie exists. Written by Galaxy Quest screenwriter Robert Gordon, the idea behind the script takes the comic book character of Bizarro and transports him to the Superman film universe for the first time.

This is the first public mention of this project, and so far there has been no official confirmation from Warner Bros., the rights holder of the Superman films, or from anyone working on the formerly unknown project. It's also unclear whether the Bizarro Superman project is still being actively considered by Warner Bros. as a direct sequel to Superman Returns or as a spinoff.

Latino Review says that Gordon's script has more of a comedic vibe to it than any earlier Superman films but that the story isn't played as an all-out comedy either. To learn more, the site has the video review of the script with additional details about the screenplay and its storyline. [Full story]
