The Benjamin Button posters utilize the film's most recognized talent, those being the faces of stars Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. But what if Paramount had decided to go with the film's hook, that being the idea of a baby being born old and growing physically younger as he ages, as the primary means of promoting the film on its one-sheet? An interesting exercise in this thought experiement is on display at Slashfilm when the site published an image used in the marketing campaign for Oscar voters, that being of a black woman holding the wrinkled with old age and grey haired baby Benjamin. A Slashfilm reader took things a step further by adding the credit block, title and a possible tag line for the film in a mock-up of what a poster using this imagery might look like.
