Zach Galifianakis is in negotiations to join the cast of Dinner for Schmucks. Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and Lucy Punch have already been signed in this DreamWorks/Paramount/Spyglass Entertainment production which will shoot this fall for a summer 2010 release. The film is an American adaptation of a 1998 French comedy Le diner de cons.
If Galifianakis's deal closes he will play the assistant manager of a mattress store who is now dating the ex-wife of Steve Carell's character.
