New Line Cinema has let the option expire on the rights for their Escape From New York remake. At this point they're up for grabs again, if there are any takers.

After his remake of The Crazies brought in $32 million dollars and didn't alienate the horror crowd, now director Breck Eisner is in talks to become the new man calling action for the Escape From New York remake. Allan Loeb (Wall Street 2) wrote the latest draft of the screenplay.
