Uma Thurman plays Girl Soldier

Now that her work playing Medusa in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief is out of the way, Uma Thurman has just finished negotiating a deal to star in the drama Girl Soldier. The Kill Bill actress will play Sister Caroline, a woman who taught at a Ugandan boarding school. In 1996 armed soldiers raided the school and took over one hundred students captive, disappearing into the countryside. The rebels planned on using the school-aged girls as sex slaves and soldiers.
