The first explosive trailer for the fifth Die Hard movie, titled A Good Day to Die Hard, has been released. Expect to see the trailer start to run in theaters tomorrow, but for those of us online and eager to see what a 57-year-old John McClane (Bruce Willis to the rest of us) looks like 'sploding things up, here it is.
Yup, Willis has just one line of dialogue in the A Good Day to Die Hard trailer but hey, it's a 007 year and the line piggybacks nicely into the Skyfall marketing hype.
A Good Day to Die Hard is slated to open on February 14, 2013. Along with Bruce Willis the sequel stars Jai Courtney as John McClane Jr.; Cole Hauser; Sebastian Kosh; Amaury Nolasco; Julia Snigir; Anne Vyalitsyna and a cameo appearance by Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

There will be at least a cameo appearance by Live Free or Die Hard co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead in the fifth Die Hard movie. The actress who played Lucy McClane in the fourth film in the series was spotted last weekend filming a scene with Bruce Willis.
The pair were filming a scene where the elder McClane is emerging from a car driven by Lucy, dropping her father off at an airport. Moviehole theorizes that this could be a moment near the start of the new Die Hard where John McClane is preparing to fly off to Russia to visit his son Jack.

Director Noam Murro is being hired to direct the fifth Die Hard movie, reports the online trade magazine Deadline. He's got just one feature film to his credit, the Sarah Jessica Parker vehicle Smart People, but according to the site what attracted the interest of Fox was Murro's commercials for Halo: Reach. The best-selling video game was released last fall and Murro directed all of the commercials leading up to the game's release.
Fox has still to reach an agreement with series star Bruce Willis but that shouldn't be terribly hard since he's indicated that he's up for at least two more Die Hard movies.
Here is one of the Halo: Reach commercials that Murro did for Microsoft:
