A video game based on this summer's Inception is in the early stages of being developed, and the film's director is involved with it.
"[What] we are looking at doing is developing a video game based on the world of the film, which has all kinds of ideas that you can't fit into a feature film," Christopher Nolan said to the press during a media scrum promoting the Italian release of his movie. "That's something we've been talking about and are looking at doing long term, in a couple of years." [Full story]

As the press builds up toward the July 16 release of Inception, Christopher Nolan gave an interview with The New York Times and spoke about the challenges of making his new movie. "It's really, at its core, a big action heist movie, and it's a movie that doesn’t try to bamboozle the audience continuously," Nolan remarked. "It’s a lot harder to just put out a two-and-a-half-minute trailer, and everyone goes, 'Oh, yeah, I know what that is.'
"What I found is, it's not possible to execute this concept in a small fashion. As soon as you're talking about dreams the potential of the human mind is infinite. It has to feel like you could go absolutely anywhere by the end of the film. And it has to work on a massive scale."
Another key player in the making of Inception is star Leonardo DiCaprio, who was also interviewed by the paper. Commenting on what attracted him to star in the film, DiCaprio said, "It was a very well written, comprehensive script but you really had to have Chris in person, to try to articulate some of the things that have been swirling around his head for the last eight years."
The Times reports that the film cost Warner Bros. $160 million dollars to produce.

Apple now has the second trailer for Inception hosted on its website. Visually it's just like the imagery we saw in last week's French trailer but now the narration is provided by Leonardo DiCaprio, and from it we can learn more clues about the movie's plot. Something about ideas being "the most resiliant parasite" and that from an idea a city can be born. His character has to steal an idea from someone.
Go watch the trailer and see if you can make some more sense of what's going on.

This week will see the start of location filming for Inception in Kananaskis, Alberta. For the past three months a team of carpenters have been working on constructing a large building atop one of the snow destination's mountainsides. No one knows what the purpose of the building is for or how it relates to Inception's top secret storyline. A photo of the building was published by the Calgary Herald.

A French language teaser trailer for Inception has hit the internet, leading us to suspect that an English language version is about to be released (likely attached to Warner Bros.' Christmas Day release of Sherlock Holmes.) Even though we don't understand the language being spoken, images of a city being folded up like origami have got us wondering just what the heck this movie is about.

We finally have a poster for Inception to look at. If there are any hidden clues in the poster, we haven't been able to find them yet. Wait, what's that we see in the clouds? Could it be...The Joker's smile? Nah. Can't be.

Just saw the French trailer. The city rolls up on itself? Fascinating.
After Memento, The Prestige and The Dark Knight, I'll follow this guy anywhere.
