Confirmation arrived last week of female bodybuilder Olga Kurkulina landing the part of henchwoman Mother Russia in the Kick-Ass sequel, but no photos showing the stronglady surfaced until today.
This shot was taken on the scene of the Missisauga, ON location shoot for the movie. Scenes of a fight were being shot in a residential neighborhood, with card done up to resemble NYPD vehicles spotted on the streets.
The costume that Kurkulina is wearing deviates from the Mother Russia garb in the Kick-Ass 2 comic, but we can spot the eyepatch (which is shared by the comic book counterpart.)

Universal Pictures is talking to Kick-Ass director/producer Matthew Vaughn about cutting a deal to distribute and finance Kick-Ass 2. Vaughn won't return as the director, as he is busy developing his sequel to X-Men: First Class. Instead, that job will be done by Jeff Wadlow from a script that Vaughn wrote.
If the deal gets made shooting should commence in September. It's expected that Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse will all come back in the follow-up. The storyline is rumored to encompass the material from the Kick-Ass 2 comic book and the forthconing spinoff mini-series Hit-Girl.
