Rebecca Hall (Frost/Nixon, Vicky Cristina Barcelona) is close to joining the cast, reports Variety. After Hall's character is dumped by her rocker boyfriend as Barack Obama is about to win the 2008 presidental election, she goes with her friend (played by Kat Dennings) across the country to the inauguration and makes various stops at other ex's homes to pick up her stuff that she left behind.

Richard Linklater is close to finalizing a deal to direct the romantic comedy Liars (A-E) for Miramax. Based on a screenplay by Emma Forrest, Scott Rudin is the producer. The story is about a woman who, while traveling to Washington to witness the inauguration of Barack Obama, picks up various items that she left behind with her ex-boyfriends. Variety mentions that Kat Dennings (Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist) has already been cast as the main character's gal pal.
