Steve Carell's Carousel Productions is developing Missing Links for Warner Bros. The studio has optioned Sports Illustrated writer Rick Reilly's 1997 comedy novel about four Boston buddies that want to upgrade their golfing experience from their trashy golf course to the elite Mayflower Club which is right next door to their dump.
Screenwriter Jay Lavender (The Break-Up) is in talks to pen the adaptation. Producing along with Carell will be Bobby Cohenis with Vance DeGeneres and Charlie Hartsock executive producing.
