Four cast members have been tossed into the water of Shark Night 3D. They are Chris Carmack, Alyssa Diaz, Sinqua Walls and Joel David Moore (Avatar). Moore is playing the film's comedic relief, a social nerd who thinks that he's a ladies man; Walls is a university football player; Diaz is his girlfriend; and Carmack is the ex-boyfriend of the movie's female lead, still uncast. In all there are seven main roles for the sharks to chew on. The movie is scheduled tobegin shooting in early September in Louisiana.
THR's Heat Vision blog also furnishes us with a meatier description of the movie's plot, saying that the septet of young adults are vacationing at a lake house. When they experience a series of shark attacks -- yes, in freshwater lakes -- they stumble across a sinister plan devised by locals to somehow gain money.
The movie's storyline doesn't have to make sense. The sharks are in 3D!
