Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) and Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange) have now joined the cast.
"Malcolm is quite simply an icon of modern cinema and I've been a fan since I was a teenager when I managed to see A Clockwork Orange," said director Michael J. Bassett. "He has an amazing ability to bring new and unexpected dimensions to his characters and I know he will bring something unique and disturbing to Silent Hill."
"Carrie has displayed her enormous talent across all genres – from The Matrix Trilogy to Memento – and we are delighted for her to join the world of Silent Hill. She will certainly bring a new level of excitement to fans of the videogame franchise," added producer Samuel Hadida.
Also, we've added the first two released stills from the now-filming production, like this one that features Adelaide Clemens (as Heather Mason) weilding a pistol.

In breaking news from this year's American Film Market taking place now in Santa Monica, it's been learned that Solomon Kane director Michael J. Bassett has signed a deal to both write the screenplay as well as direct the Silent Hill sequel. The movie will be titled Silent Hill: Revelation 3D and will be shot in 3D.
In their coverage of the news, Bloody Disgusting reports the film's storyline as so: "The sequel follows Heather Mason, along with her father, who have been on the run - always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't full understand, Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever."
