The title song for Skyfall has been officially released. As sung and co-written by Adele, she croons the tune in a way that evokes the classic James Bond songs from the 1960s and 70s.
A video of the Skyfall song has been released on Adele's official YouTube channel, with the lyrics to the song included in the presentation.

The final one-sheet poster design for the UK release of Skyfall has arrived, and it places the tuxedoed super-spy front and center. Nothing beats this branding the return of Daniel Craig as 007.

The IMAX Corporation has made the announcement that Skyfall will be the first James Bond movie to be presented in the IMAX theaters simultaneously with the traditional theatrical version.
"It is fitting that with Skyfall marking the 50th Anniversary of the James Bond franchise, we celebrate in epic style and what could be more larger-than-life than IMAX joining the festivities," said Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum, the chief executive officers of MGM, in an IMAX-released statement.
The IMAX version of Skyfall will be remastered to fit the dimensions and sound quality experience of an IMAX theater.

A couple of days ago this photo was published by Empire. The website claims that it was a leaked photo showing Daniel Craig as James Bond given to them by an anonymous source. The scene matches up with spy photos that appeared on the Commander Bond website showing the crew and Craig filming at the Four Seasons hotel pool at Carany Wharf on December 1.
While the Empire photo was picked up and spread across the Internet, no official confirmation of the legitimacy of the photo was ever issued by EON Productions or MGM. And then a day after the photo first appeared online at Empire, the company pulled their news story and removed the photo from their site with no explanation.
What's surprising is that the photo has remained online at the other websites that have since run it.

31-year-old Ben Whishaw has been cast as the new Q in Skyfall.
He's the third actor to play Q in the 007 series. Desmond Llewelyn played the gadget chief of MI6 in 1963's From Russia With Love all the way through until 1999's The World is Not Enough. After Llewelyn's passing in that year, Q was recast and played by John Cleese in four Bond movies.
This is the first time that the actor playing Q is younger than the actor playing James Bond.

EON Productions, MGM and Sony Pictures have announced that the 23rd James Bond movie will be titled Skyfall. The first day of filming is scheduled for Monday, November 7, and the movie itself is slated for release in North America on November 9, 2012 and the United Kingdom and Ireland on October 26, 2012.
In making their announcement, the filmmakers also confirmed the key cast starring in Skyfall. Daniel Craig returns to play 007 for his third time; Judi Dench returns as M, the leader of MI6; and Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe and Ben Whishaw are all confirmed to have roles in the movie.
Producing are longtime 007 vets Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. The Skyfall screenplay is credited to Neal Purvis & Robert Wade and John Logan (Star Trek: Nemesis). And yes, Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition) is directing the picture.
We've also got a logline for Skyfall, as supplied by the team: "Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost."
In a joint statement producers Wilson and Broccoli said, "We're so delighted to have Sam Mendes direct Skyfall and be working once again with Daniel Craig. We've a great script, an extraordinary cast and an incredibly talented creative team for this latest James Bond adventure."
Still unconfirmed are the roles that the supporting cast play in Skyfall. Rumor has it Bardem is the primary villain of the movie while Fiennes could be playing Blofeld, the leader of the shadowy terrorist organization Bond pursued in the last two films. Naomie Harris is supposedly playing the new Miss Moneypenny.

A source tells Twitchfilm that French actress Berenice Marlohe has been cast as a Bond girl in the next 007 picture. While everyone's now picked up the story and is talking about it, there's been no official confirmation from the Bond production or from within Marlohe's camp.

When Javier Bardem spoke with The Wrap about the rumor he's up for a plum part in the new 007 movie, the Oscar-nominated actor confirmed what everyone's suspected: it's for the villain. But Bardem's full answer raises a new question: what's the new spin on the old Bond adversary's role in the 23rd James Bond movie?
"They're changing the whole thing, the whole dynamic," Bardem told the site's reporter. "I'd be playing Bond’s nemesis, yes, but it's not that obvious. Everything is more nuanced. It's very intriguing."
And on the whole concept of him being in a Bond movie, Bardem has this gee-whiz take of it: "I'm a huge fan of the James Bond saga. When I was little, I went watching Mr. Connery doing James Bond with my father. Who in the world would think I'd be in one of those movies?"

Judi Dench will reprise her role as MI6 chief M in the next James Bond movie. This will be the seventh occasion that the actress has played Bond's commander in the film franchise starting with 1995's GoldenEye.
Dench confirmed the news while attending the South Bank Sky Arts Awards. As reported by the MI6 James Bond website, Dench said, "Of course, I'm looking forward hugely to working with Daniel [Craig] again and with Sam [Mendes] who I've only ever worked with in the theatre. So that'll be all good fun to do! I'm so glad it's coming back, it's wonderful." True to her on-screen alter ego, Dench wouldn't let slip any other details about her character's involvement with the new Bond's storyline or what it may be about.

The 23rd James Bond movie has come back to life. MGM made the announcement today that the as-yet untitled new 007 movie will begin filming in late 2011, for a November 9, 2012 release.
While Sam Mendes remains onboard to direct the movie., it appears that screenwriter Peter Morgan (Hereafter, The Queen) has exited the production. and John Logan (Any Given Sunday, The Aviator, Star Trek: Nemesis) has been hired to work on the latest draft of the picture's screenplay. I still maintain that no redemption is necessary for QoS. It is a good film.
The delay sucks. I want them to hurry and redeem themselves for the last film.
