Universal Pictures has bought from former Late Night With David Letterman head writer Rodney Rothman a comedy pitch called The Something. Plot details are scarce but as Variety mentions the story is set in deep space and contains elements of horror. The selling price was mid-six figures. Rothman will also produce.
