Disney has released a small taste of "Derezzed", one of the songs that Daft Punk has made for the upcoming movie. We dig it: it's Tron music for a Tron world.

The final North American one-sheet for Tron Legacy has rezzed over at Yahoo. It's an homage to the original 1982 Tron poster which featured Bruce Boxleitner reachup up to grab his identity disc and Cindy Morgan clutching at the hero's side. The graphics may have improved but the marketing is still the same.

This Vietnamese teaser poster for Tron Legacy features Jeff Bridges' character, Encom video game programmer Kevin Flynn. While a similar teaser poster featuring the elder Flynn character hasn't come out in the North American marketing campaign yet, the image was featured on streetlight posters promoting the film at Comic-Con last month.

Judging by the online commentary we've read around the blogosphere, today's Tron Legacy panel seems to have been well received by everyone. Eight minutes of footage from the movie was shown including Sam Flynn's arrival in the computer world, his processing into fighting for his life in the games arena and his introduction to Clu, his father's program.
Shortly after the panel concluded, Walt Disney Pictures released a new still from the film showing Kevin Flynn.

The second trailer for Tron Legacy is out and it's wicked cool if you've been waiting to see more of how the film's makers have de-aged Jeff Bridges to look like he did circa 1988. Check it out and don't break off once the end title comes up; there's a little extra special scene that comes right at the end of the trailer.

In anticipation of the upcoming Encom press event next Saturday, IGN conducted a one-on-one interview with Alan Bradley:
Saturday, March 27, 2010
The viral PR for the film continues, ramping up a notch with this latest development: a real world "product announcement" will take place for Encom next weekend in San Francisco. On hand will be Encom executive consultant Alan Bradley to make the announcement.
Of course, there is no Encom nor is there an Alan Bradley. Encom was the name of the fictional company that the characters in the original Tron movie worked for and Alan Bradley was the name of the character that Bruce Boxleitner's character played in the film (and in the upcoming sequel.) What will happen at the press event? What new product will Encom and Bradley announce, and how does this tie into the storyline for Tron Legacy?
The full press release follows:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ENCOM, CREATOR OF TRON, TO MAKE MAJOR NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT IN SAN FRANCISCO ON APRIL 2ND
WHAT: Newly-minted Encom Executive Consultant Alan Bradley will introduce the latest addition to the Encom International product library.
WHERE: Justin Herman Plaza
1 Market Street [at The Embarcadero]
San Francisco, CA 94101
WHEN: Friday, April 2nd - 8:00pm/PST
Newly-minted Executive Consultant Alan Bradley will introduce the latest addition to the Encom International product library on April 2 in San Francisco.
Software giant Encom ushered in the digital age with an unrivaled library of gaming titles, including Space Paranoids and Tron. Now, Encom International circles the globe with advanced software systems that include communications, sports, entertainment, navigation, agricultural, health care, construction, weather, military and governmental applications on every continent.
Bradley began his career with Encom as a security systems engineer and rose through the ranks to be named CEO in the early 1990s. When he exited the executive suite, he took on a far greater role. His visionary research turned Encom into the industry leader in sustainable production and distribution methods -- methods which are now the best practices for technology companies around the world. "Whether the challenge is to establish communications in a national disaster, or keep kids engaged as they battle Recognizers, I love what I do. Encom will always be my home. "
CEO Kurt Hardington sums it up this way: "Alan's new title and role reflect his unique position as part of the Encom story. He keeps us grounded, yet he's the first to move forward when technology takes us in a new direction. That's why he's perfect to present our newest product - it's where we've come from and where we're going."
Alan Bradley will take the stage at 8pm in Justin Herman Plaza on April 2 to unveil the next generation in Encom innovation.
About Alan Bradley:
Alan Bradley began his career as a computer programmer for Encom International back in 1979. He quickly rose through the ranks and forged a brilliant collaboration with legendary video game designer Kevin Flynn (TRON, Space Paranoids). After Flynn's mysterious disappearance in 1989, Bradley took over as CEO of Encom for a brief stint. He then transitioned into his current role as an advocate for corporate environmental responsibility, and was recently named Executive Consultant at Encom.
