The movie adaptation of Twelve is set to start filming in New York City come April 20. Based on the novel by Nick McDonnell (who wrote it when he was 17), the film stars Chance Crawford, Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, Curtis Jackson (a.k.a. rapper 50 Cent), Ellen Barkin and Kiefer Sutherland. The picture will be directed by Joel Schumacher (The Number 23, Phone Booth).
Financed by Gaumont, Radar Pictures and Original Media, the producers want to shop the film to prospective distributors and have it in cinemas in the winter of 2010. [Full story]
