USA Today has the exclusive online debut of the brand new Wolverine movie trailer. While it looks cool and there's some new shots of Wolvie popping his claws and the other mutants in the movie, the action is delivered in a tiny player. When we find a larger, better presentation of the trailer we'll update with a link, but for now this is all we've got.

For fans of Deadpool who have been left worried by the absence of that character's costume or scars to his person in the movie's trailers so far, a photo running on the Latino Review website may alleviate your concerns. The image in question is of two Deadpool action figures in their packaging and they show a shirtless D.P. with what looks like some heavy skin problems. Could the X-Men Origins version of Deadpool be taking some creative license with the comic book's look of the character? Most likely, yes -- but the upcoming action figure shows that the movie version of the merc with a mouth won't be always a pretty boy.

Yesterday the studio released the teaser poster for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It's somewhat similar to the one for X-Men: The Final Stand in that it features Wolvie's three claws up-close but this time we've also got Jackman's mug looking dead on at us.

This past weekend exterior filming for Wolverine took place at the Buchanan Tower building on the grounds of the University of British Columbia. Chainlink fencing, barricades, a guard tower and barbed wire were used to transform the grounds into a place that appears to look like a prison or secure guard facility. The production filmed at night a variety of action scenes involving extras dressed as soldiers firing off guns and on a few occasions explosions were set off.
Naturally this attracted the attention of passersby. Some were armed with cameras while others shot their own short video clips. Five of these individuals have posted the fruits of their filming to Flickr: user Sam Dauch has photos and a video showing Hugh Jackman's stunt double standing on set, freinhar has six photos of the set lit up, wagnerthomas has four shots, tyfn has four photos including one great one of a large orange fireball climbing into the night sky, and Zeshiku has 8 photos of the set as it looked during the day.
Word about what this location was used for and the context of these scenes in relation to the movie's storyline has yet to emerge.

Hugh Jackman sent an email into Ain't It Cool News to talk about the stories that the Wolverine reshoots currently taking place in Vancouver are because the movie is in trouble. "I have read a lot of your online comments regarding the footage that we are currently shooting and I share your passion for the Wolverine character and the movie - I owe it all to you guys!" Jackman writes in his note.
"I wanted to reach out and let you know that due to scheduling conflicts with certain cast members and location/weather considerations, we had to wait until now to shoot a couple of scenes. Please rest assured that Wolverine will be badass and hopefully meet all of your expectations. I am stoked by the positive response to the teaser, which clearly reflects the tone and scope of the film. If you like that, we've got much more in store!"
Jackman also sent in a previously unseen photo which shows the film's main characters, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), Gambit (Taylor Kitsch), Wolverine (Jackman), Sabretooth (Liev Schreiber) and Silver Fox (Lynn Collins) standing in a pose.
Meanwhile, what Coming Attractions can add to this: we know that the Wolverine set is solidly locked down and closed off to visitors. Two-and-a-half weeks of reshoots have been scheduled.

While being interviewed for his role in the upcoming Defiance movie, Collider asked actor Liev Schreiber if he could share his thoughts on playing Sabertooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. And share he did!
"As soon as I finished Defiance I began this kind of four month training period, weightlifting period genocide of chickens phase of my life where I just got bigger and bigger and it was awful but amazing and fun," Schreiber explained. "When I finally got there and I got to choreograph the fights with Hugh and get on the wire and do the work it was not just fun, I saw some footage and it's pretty cool."
Schreiber also talks about how he was a fan of the X-Men comics and already had a pre-existing knowledge of Sabertooth, how the film's producers originally thought of him for the part of a different character in the film and why he sensed that some fans of the comic couldn't see him in the role of Wolverine's nemesis and his reasons why he thought that he could nail playing the 'tooth.
