Thought the forum could use a thread like this.

First up:

Man sought by gay pal is in counseling

Stuff like this just makes me depressed. It does sound like the family kind of pushed the guy into it, and his friend in Wisconsin went a little overboard. Just not a good situation for anyone.

Hooray for Christian counseling! History's most thoroughly moral and completely infallible fix-all strikes again!

"The following day, Swanson said he received a text from Faulkner indicating that his parents wanted to take him to a "place in Pensacola" to address his sexuality. Swanson would later call the Union County Sheriff's Department to say that Faulkner was being taken against his will by his "fundamental Baptist" parents."

More fucking wingnuts, and why, why, WHY is the state of FLORIDA always involved in some of the most heinous examples of American atrocities that we see in the news?!

My instinct is to point out how the article written by "Fox News" shows an obviously slanted bias against homosexuality. This no longer surprises me.

as for the wireless power system, this can ONLY lead to disaster. Don't believe me? I have proof....

Bill, just call Bugs Bunny. I've seen his ass saw off Florida countless times in the documentaries about his life called "cartoons". In fact, I have no idea how the state keeps coming back.

Guess what? I got a fever. And the only prescription . . . is more cowbell!

Also, it amuses me when they refer to the Broadcast Energy Transmitter by its acronym. BET . . . "pure energy pumped through the air!"

Florida has Sea World, Universal & Disney World, the Keys, the Everglades, Cape Canaveral and Miami so I am inclined to give it a pass.

It also has Jesus-Land Themepark or whatever it is called, so therefore it might have to be judged an EPIC FAIL.

I think it's official title may be 'The Holy Land Experience'.

I imagine one can visit, stone that ex who cheated on you to death, be persecuted by an employee dressed as a Roman, run away from a few lions then tuck into a lunch where the only choices are a very small portion of either fish or bread, washed down with suspiciously watery wine. There may also be an express queue for lepers.

The executive tour allows you to be betrayed by a fellow member of your tour party, and then crucified.

The only drawback is that when you get home and look at your holiday photos in the cold, hard, light of day, you realise that the trip was actually a complete load of bollocks that doesn't stand up to any persistent questioning about it from your friends.

Damn straight, Ms. Bacall!

From IMDB.com

Bacall Blasts Twilight Vampires

Screen legend Lauren Bacall is urging vampire fans to check out 1920s horror movies - because the Twilight blood-suckers pale in comparison to classic monsters.

The Hollywood veteran sat down to watch the 2008 blockbuster to check out the cinematic craze her grandchildren were so excited about.

But she was disappointed after watching the movie, starring hunk Robert Pattinson, and sat her granddaughter down to give her a lesson in frightening films.

Bacall writes on her Twitter.com page, "Yes, I saw Twilight - my granddaughter made me watch it, she said it was the greatest vampire film ever. After the 'film' was over I wanted to smack her across her head with my shoe, but I do not want a (tell-all) book called Grannie Dearest written on me when I die. So instead I gave her a DVD of Murnau's 1922 masterpiece Nosferatu and told her, 'Now that's a vampire film!' And that goes for all of you! Watch Nosferatu instead!"
