Michael Clarke Duncan dead at age 54

Actor Michael Clarke Duncan has passed away at the age of 54, from complications suffered from a heart attack he had in July.

Known for his big build and deep voice, Duncan was in the prime of his life. His first movie role was in 1995's Friday, and he had several small parts playing bouncers and muscle men. It wasn't until 1997's Armageddon that he had a meatier role with more lines, playing one of the rough-and-tumble drilling crew drafted into blowing up an approaching asteroid.

Actor Karl Malden has died of natural causes at the age of 97. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mona, two daughters, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Michael Jackson passes away

At 12:21 PM this afternoon paramedics responded to a 911 call from Michael Jackson's rented home in Bel Air. According to reports the pop singer was found not breathing. After working on resuscitating Jackson for 47 minutes he was transported to the UCLA Emergency Center. Shortly after the media began to learn of the situation the TMZ website was the first to report that Michael Jackson had died as a result of a mycardial infarction. He was 50 years old.

Farrah Fawcett passes away

After a long battle with cancer actress Farrah Fawcett passed away earlier this morning at the age of 62. At the time of her passing she was with actor Ryan O'Neal, her longtime companion, and best friend Alana Stewart. Fawcett's fight against cancer had made headlines since she was diagnosed in late 2006 and went public with her battle with the disease.

Over the weekend the cast and director of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen hit the red carpet for the Japanese premiere of their movie. In attendance were Michael Bay, Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and Megan Fox, with the latter cast member wearing a purple evening dress that showed plenty of leg. How much leg? Actress Lucy Gordon, who played British reporter Jennifer Dugan in Spider-Man 3, committed suicide on Wednesday, May 20. French police investigators have ruled out foul play in Gordon's death. She was two days shy of turning 29.
