10 hidden easter eggs in Captain America: The First Avenger
Ever since the release of the first X-Men movie back in 2000, there has been an intelligent attempt to build up the layers of the Marvel film universe. The helmer of Halloween III: Season of the Witch, Fright Night Part 2 and most recently the direct-to-vid sequel Vampires: Los Muertos, Wallace's story follows a group of American exchange students who, while trapped inside the grounds of a university, are stalked by a evil spirit out to release them from this mortal coil.

The film rights to the book The Straw Men have been acquired by production firm Benderspink. Based on the crime thriller (and the first in a trilogy) by Michael Marshall Smith, The Straw Men follows seemingly unconnected storylines that eventually converge together. One plot tracks a detective called out of retirement to track down a killer while the other follows a young man who, after burying his parents who died in an automobile accident, discovers clues that lead him to think that they might still be alive. Smith's book starts off with a shocker as two men walk into a fast-food restaurant and shoot dozens of people in cold blood. All three stories eventually link together.

First image of Gambit from X-Men Origins: Wolverine
The new issue of Empire magazine features a cover story about X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and included in the images is the first look at Taylor Kitsch as Gambit (and as scanned in by Coming Soon.) Fans of the X-Men comic book know that the Cajun mutant has the power to kinetically charge up items which then explode, and the character's favorite weapon of choice are playing cards he throws at his enemies. It looks like Gambit will be seen using cards in the film but in the released photo of Kitsch his eyes aren't black with red irises (or at least in this shot), as the character appears in Marvel books.
