I dunno, as much as i'd like to theater jump between Gilligans Island and The A-team, Bewitched just didnt do it for me and its got me a bit worried about Land of the Lost.
Sadly, the only role I see Will ferrell taking is the role of the Professor, who is basically the straight no-humor guy. GET James Cromwell, he'd definitly work as Mr Howle!

Gilligan's Island creator Sherwood Schwartz and son Lloyd have signed a deal to develop a movie based on their classic 1960s sitcom and already the producers have a Superbad star in mind to play the new little buddy to the Skipper.
While speaking with TV Guide at his induction ceremony into the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (and first brought to our attention by Moviehole), Schwartz revealed that the deal has just been closed in the past 48 hours. In a perfect world Schwartz would like to see babyfaced Michael Cera play the new Gilligan and Beyonce Knowles as the sexy Hollywood siren castaway Ginger. When asked what she thought of the singer-turned-Dreamgirls star playing the new Ginger, original cast member Dawn Wells (who played the wholesome Mary Ann on the show) remarked "There isn't anybody sexier than Beyonce!" And what about Bob Denver?
Schwartz didn't reveal who he had partnered with or if the project is already set up at a studio.
Although it only ran for three seasons and produced 98 episodes, Gilligan's Island has achieved cult status for the countless number of reruns broadcast these past forty years. The original starred Bob Denver as the innocent but accident prone first mate of the S.S. Minnow, the pleasure boat that went out for a three-hour tour with five passengers and its captain. Ten years after the show's cancellation a series of made-for-TV movies were broadcast showing how the castaways got off the island and then headed back to open a resort. In 2004 the show's premise was resurrected as a template for a reality gameshow. Somehow it lasted for two seasons.
Michael Cera is a pretty funny guy, but he's really only good at playing Michael Cera. If you want to recruit someone from the Apatow crowd to play Gilligan, get Jay Baruchel.
You know, I've thought about this a bit further, and I'll bet I could make a full Apatow Gilligan movie work. Jay Baruchel is Gilligan, Seth Rogen as the Skipper, Paul Rudd as the Professor, Katherine Heigl as Ginger, Carla Gallo as Mary Ann, Russell Brand as Thurston Howell, and Leslie Mann as Mrs. Howell.
What? It could work.

This movie could actually work well in the recent trend of adapting old tv shows into movies and goofy-ing them up.
