Human Target gets picked up

Fox Television has given a 13-episode series pick-up for the comic book-based property Human Target. The show will hit the network's line-up this coming fall.

Fringe's Mark Valley stars in the lead role as an undercover bodyguard who assumes the identity of his client to better protect them from any kind of attack. Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen) plays the Target's right-hand man who assists him in his missions while Chi McBride (I Robot) handles the business side of things.

Fox has also placed a series order for Sons of Tuscon, a sitcom about a hustler who is hired by three sons to act as their dad while their real one is locked up in prison. That makes four new shows for Fox this fall so far counting the Family Guy spinoff Cleveland and Glee, a musical drama. The Tim Roth drama Lie to Me also got picked up for a second season. Still on the bubble is Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
