the Wolverine #4 Tron variant looks anemic and silly. i'm with Quasar, I wont be buying any of these covers... hell, I'm not buying any of these books anyway...
where is the DEADPOOL Tron variant????
In corporate culture "synergy" is when two fields of different creative energies come together to unite. In an example of this kind of business decision, Marvel Comics and their new owners at Walt Disney Pictures have teamed up to issue 10 different variant covers for Marvel comics that feature superheroes "Tron-ified".
Next month, there will be variant covers for Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, Avengers Academy, Captain America, Secret Avengers, Thor, Wolverine and Incredible Hulk. The characters in the story aren't entering the digital universe of Tron, but the covers will serve as the first major marketing and publicity tie-in for a Disney movie release, namely Tron Legacy.
You can probably expect to see more of these crossover promotions within Marvel Comics in the years to come. Disney bought the Marvel brand last year for $4 billion dollars and it's expected that we'll see more Marvel branding within Disney's theme parks. Just this week it was announced that Disney had bought the distribution and marketing rights for The Avengers and Iron Man 3 movies from Paramount.
You can see all 10 of Marvel's Tron-ified covers at their website.

I like the Captain America and Ghost Rider versions.
Moon Knight and Spider man look pretty good too.
I think some of them look pretty good, like Ghost Rider and Moon Knight, (definitely NOT Wolverine, shiver!) and I could see them as ad inserts inside a comic. But as far as being covers for comics whose stories have absolutely nothing to do with Tron, I think it's beyond weak.

ESPN did it too, to crossover with the NBA.
Way to whore yourself out Disney.
you know i really wouldnt mind if Disney whored themselves out over something i actually gave a damn about... like the NHL hockey players and Marvel NHL team crossover comicbooks...
nobody gives a shit about Basketball...right? :|

I will not be buying any of these weak variant covers.
