Skyfall trailer described
Posted by Patrick Sauriol on Thursday, April 26, 2012
If you were fortunate enough to receive an invite by MGM to a special location yesterday in Los Vegas, you would have been the first members of the public to see the first trailer for the next James Bond movie Skyfall.
Accounts of the trailer have been appearing across the web, with no one source clearly emerging, so I'm simply going to mirror what others have been repeating. If it's accurate, this is what the Skyfall trailer will have when it plays in front of showing of Men in Black III, opening on May 25.
Bond sites in a chair, inside an interrogation room. Individual words are being spoken and 007 is giving one-word responses back in an association game:
"Country," is one word, with Bond's reply being "England."
"Gun," is followed by the answer "Shot."
"Agent," is followed by "Provocateur."
"Murder." Bond: "Employment."
The scene cuts to Judi Dench's M standing with Ralph Fiennes character (revealed to be named Mallory). They're both watching James Bond behind a one-way mirror. The impression one has is that Bond is being asked this word association game by his employers at MI6, but for what reason?
Finally the word "Skyfall" is said to Bond. Bond stands up and speaks the reply, "Done," and then strides up to the mirror.
A series of quick cuts then follows showing action in London, Macau and Shanghai. At the end of teaser Bond says, "Some men are coming to kill us. We've got to kill them first." Over this dialogue there are images of Union Jack flags covering coffins.
Intriguing, isn't it?
Skyfall opens in November. The other good news for fans of 007 and Daniel Craig is that MGM is now planning to have a new Bond movie out in theaters every second year, meaning that the next James Bond movie would arrive on screens sometime in 2014.
