Trio cast for Let Me In

Posted by Patrick Sauriol on Friday, October 2, 2009

The first three cast members for the U.S. remake of Let the Right One In have been revealed. Kodi Smit-McPhee (who will be seen opposite Viggo Mortensen in The Road) will play the young boy that becomes friends with an ancient vampire that's in the body of a 11-year-old girl (who will be played by Kick-Ass's Chloe Moretz.)

Character actor Richard Jenkins -- you've seen his face in dozens of movies like Step Brothers and Burn After Reading -- plays the father of the vampire girl. Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) is directing the movie, called Let Me In, which begins shooting in a month.

So it's actually a girl playing the "girl," huh?

And it's really being called Let Me In, and not Let the Right One In, is it?

And I'm supposing this is because some marketing dude thinks that Let the Right One In is a piss-poor translation of the original title, right?

It couldn't possibly be a Smiths lyric, after all.
