Exclusive: Game of Thrones season 2 roundtable
Game of Thrones’s second season, based off of George R.R. Martin’s novel A Clash of Kings, is blissfully due to descend on us in just a few weeks’ time. And though anticipation for the show’s return couldn’t be higher, there seems to be a growing undercurrent of tension or concern among both the fan and journalistic communities. Showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff have changed the name of Asha Greyjoy, Theon’s sister back on the Iron Islands, to Yara? The way-cool storyline the crippled Bran Stark has back at Winterfell might be cut and moved to the third season? Daenerys Targaryen’s minimal presence in the novel might be dramatically expanded – with action scenes?

Review: Game of Thrones, Episode 6
Weighing in at just over 800 pages, A Game of Thrones is full of plots and sub-plots, primary and secondary (and tertiary and ancillary) characters, major and minor leitmotifs, and foreshadowing of foreshadowing – to say it is a dense narrative is an understatement in the extreme, particularly considering its status as only the inaugural chapter of a much larger tale. This column (It Is Known: An Analysis of Thrones) will act as a companion piece to both series, novel and television, analyzing each installment’s character beats and plot points as well as scrutinizing the transition from page to script. What it will not do is spoil the story; the hope and intent is elucidation, not ruination.

Exclusive: Voltron Force update
A little over a year ago, atrejub and I took a trip to WEP's main headquarters in St. Louis to get the lowdown on the latest Voltron developments. We got a few cool exclusives on the upcoming movie and Voltron Force, and were invited to come back some time for an update. Since Voltron Force will be debuting in under a month, we figured it would be a great time to drop in and get another advance look for Corona readers.

NBC saves Chuck again
Although it's still a little too early for the TV networks to have officially announced their 2011-2012 line-up, the story is getting out about which shows have survived and which ones have been axed. Why? Because it's a little hard to control the news when the crew members of a series find out that they've all been laid off (or that the lucky ones will have paychecks come the fall.)
