I liked the idea of no Lois Lane better. Maybe Lois will die in a warehouse explosion, like Thursty suggested.

Ursa is the mysterious female Superman character
Posted by Patrick Sauriol on Saturday, February 5, 2011

Riding hard on yesterday's report that three actresses are up for the part of a female character that isn't Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's new Superman movie, Latino Review came up with the identity of the unknown lady.
It's Ursa, the female Kryptonian exiled to the Phantom Zone with her leader, General Zod, and the hulking mute lieutenant Non. If you recall 1979's Superman: The Movie and 1981's Superman II, the role of Ursa was played by British babe Sarah Douglas.
The LR boys are fast to state that they don't know if Zod will be in Snyder's Superman or if it will just be Ursa, but they did also learn that Lois Lane will be a character in the film and not excluded from it. The idea of a Superman movie without Lois was something that I was guessing could be the case in yesterday's report, but today we now know the Daily Planet star reporter will be in the story.
If Ursa is in the new Superman but there's no Zod, that would be odd.
But didn't Thursty suggest that Zack Snyder would be that same warehouse?
I want a Superman Movie without Lex Luthor... maybe HE could die in a warehouse explosion... like Mckracken suggested.
also a movie with only Ursa and without Zod (or Non) would be odd but these villians have been done before and it's sounded more and more like a retread of Superman II. I trust Zack Snyder, even if he remakes Superman II like his remake of Dawn of the Dead it will still stand on it's own merit.
I can only assume you mean Superman couldn't throw him at all, since Superman isn't a real person.

Zod's in it, of course. Folks lambasted Superman Returns for being a retread ofSuperman. I'm interested to see people's reaction when this one retreads Superman II's grounds.
