The alternate music for the Binary Sunset sequence is nice.

Watch Star Wars Begins
Posted by Patrick Sauriol on Tuesday, February 15, 2011
One of the most impressive fan-made Star Wars productions that I have ever seen is Jambe Davdar's Star Wars Begins. Released last month on YouTube, word of Davdar's 14-part, 140-minute ultimate fan cut of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, has trickled out and around the Internet. What he did nearly defies belief: Davdar assembled audio clips from creator George Lucas, cast members and crew, as well as deleted scenes and rare behind-the-scenes video and images into one flowing visual journey that retells the first Star Wars adventure from a new perspective.
For example, in Star Wars Begins the movie opens by showing us what the opening crawl looked like when ILM artists worked on it. We also get to read an early, different opening crawl. And that's just in the first moments of Star Wars Begins: the rest of the show plays like a branching special edition DVD, filled with text and audio commentary elaborating on the myriad decisions that Lucas and his team had to make during the production of the first Star Wars movie. Hear what the original audio recorded on set sounded like, and what secondary characters sounded like before dubbing. See what other aliens were made but never seen in the famous Mos Eisley Cantina scenes. Hear what Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford thought of the movie, from comments recorded from 1977 up to the 2000s. Learn how the special effects team made the Death Star explode at the end of the film. Star Wars Begins is truly the best assembly of Star Wars facts, trivia and rare insider material ever assembled.
How long Star Wars Begins will last online is anyone's guess. It's certainly within Lucasfilm's copyright to issue a cease and desist to the video sharing sites that are hosting the material. But the fact that Lucas' empire hasn't sent out that C&D yet provides one hope that maybe The Flanneled One is allowing his fans a rare opportunity to appreciate the wonderful genius of the first Star Wars. (Or no one's told Uncle George's lawyers about the video yet.)
Here is the first part of Star Wars Begins. If what you see interests you, head on over to YouTube to watch the rest. Davdar's blog describes his project in more detail.
