Really CBS? Memorable roles include Piranha 3D but not Karate Kid?

Elizabeth Shue joins CSI
Posted by Patrick Sauriol on Saturday, November 19, 2011
Elizabeth Shue is joining the cast of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, coming in to fill the void by the upcoming departure of Marg Helgenberger's CSI, Catherine Willows. Shue's new character gets introduced in the episode airing on February 15, 2012.
Season 12 of CBS' long-running crime show has already seen major change. Laurence Fishburne decided not to renew his contract on CSI so the show's producers had to exit his character at the conclusion of season 11 and then introduce the new manager of the Las Vegas CSI night shift, D.B. Russell (played by Ted Danson.) When she gets introduced next year, the CSI writing staff will connect Elizabeth Shue's new CSI character to Danson.
"Elisabeth's character will share a past, in another crime lab, with Ted Danson's character (D.B. Russell)," said executive producer Don McGill. "The first time things didn't go so well between the two of them. Maybe the second time's the charm, or not."
Ratings for CSI have diminished over season 11, and on average are about 2 million viewers lower than last year.
Shue was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her role in Leaving Las Vegas. Her other memorable roles include Adventures in Babysitting, Back to the Future Part II and III and Piranha 3D.
They really should've thrown in Hollow Man.

I'd Shue her a thing or two . . . in the bedroom.
