The "M" shouldn't be on there. They dropped the "of Mars" for whatever reason, so the "M" needs to go. Also, it should be called John Carter OF MARS!

Did you know that Disney has a $200 million dollar sci-fi movie opening in three weeks? And that people like me have been waiting for decades to see this particular sci-fi movie get made?
Then why am I so not interested in seeing the movie that Disney has made of John Carter of Mars?
I'm one of the many who seemingly have no interest in seeing this flick, even though I've dreamed of seeing a movie adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs classic hero get made into a film. And it boggles my mind too that, from everything that I've seen so far of John Carter, and it coming from the director of my favorite Pixar movie ever (Finding Nemo), that my heart isn't into seeing John Carter.
Taylor Kitsch, the guy playing JC, just doesn't strike me as looking particularly John Carter-ish. The red princess Dejah Thoris doesn't look right either, and neither does Mars -- which does look a helluva lot like Utah. And that's a big problem for me.
But there might be one piece of movie marketing collateral that imparts a sense of the grandeur and awesomeness that John Carter is supposed to evoke in you, and it comes in the shape of a special poster that Mondo made and was commissioned by Disney. You can only get this poster when you attend the midnight showing of John Carter on its opening night, and only at an IMAX theater.
Now this looks like John Carter of Mars.

If you look at just the bottom half of the poster, it looks like it could be for a "Prince of Persia" sequel.

Everyone seems to be going apeshit for this poster. I don't get it. It's doing nothing for me.
