You still get all the features if you order the Region 2 DVD from Britain. You'll probably wind up having to watch the features on your computer (either by using the VLC player or by using up one of your disc player's region switches), but at least you'll get all the features.

Spec'd: Marvel's The Avengers DVD
Posted by Patrick Sauriol on Saturday, June 30, 2012
Arriving on September 26, 2012 on home video is Marvel's The Avengers, the highest-grossing superhero movie of all-time and present third-highest grossing movie ever. Paramount Home Video is handling the home video release of the film (as per their agreement with Walt Disney, the owners/theatrical distribution studio.)
The Avengers will have three disc versions: a 4-disc Blu-ray, a 2-disc Blu-ray DVD and a single-disc DVD. Perhaps the most important bonus feature listed on the discs will be an audio commentary track by screenwriter/director Joss Whedon, so expect a lot of comic book geeking out when you pop that one on the player.
Here is the complete list of what's included on the three different Avengers movie packages:
Avengers movie 4-disc set -- Suggested retail price $49.99 US / $59.99 CDN
- Second Screen -- watch the movie and a picture-within-picture description showing storyboards, interviews and more
- "Assembling the Ultimate Team" featurette
- "A Visual Journey" -- a featurette on the process of turning the Marvel comic book into the big-screen superhero outing
- Gag Reel -- bloopers from the production
- Deleted Scenes
- Audio commentary track with director Joss Whedon
- Soundgarden Music Video “Live to Rise”
- Additional bonus features to be announced
Avengers movie 2-Disc Combo Pack (Blu-ray + DVD) -- Suggested retail price $39.99 US / $46.99 CDN
- Same bonus features as the 4-disc set
Avengers movie 1-Disc DVD -- Suggested retail price $29.99 US / $35.99 CDN
- "Assembling the Ultimate Team" featurette
- Audio commentary track with Joss Whedon
DVD/Blu-ray announcement trailer:
Marvel's The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg and Stellan Skarsgard.
Jubbers tells me you don't get all the features with the Brit DVD. You just get more of them.
Bugger! Cock-up! Bollocks! Blimey! Wankers! Naff off, Gobshites! Fag end! Bell-end! Numpties! Those tossers are taking the mickey!
Just for this, I'm going to hope the sequel goes straight to dvd!

So the message here seems to be, if you don't have Blu-ray, you get screw-ayed.
