You've been waiting for it and now here it is: the first trailer for Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. Brad Pitt stars as Lt. Aldo Raine, the commander of an eight man strike force assigned to do just one thing in German-occupied France during World War II: kill as many Nazis as they can.
Let Coming Attractions and the world know what you thought of the trailer. If what you saw has got you excited, worried or bored, let Tarantino and everyone know by picking a number between 0 to 100 on the Inglourious Basterds HypeMeter on our database page for this movie! No matter how big or small your own personal level of hype is, that number directly affects not just the hype level for this movie but also the movie's HypeLine. THAT KICKS MAJOR ASS!!!!!!!!!!! what was with the guy hiding the swastika under his helmet? was that one of the Ingloureous Basterds.
Wow, looks sweet! However, can I be the first internet nerd who spoils the party and asks if Pitt isn't right for the role? I had heard that Stallone was supposed to get it, and I wish he had.
Yeah, I'm a little weary that Brad Pitt can pull it off. But seeing as how I just watched Burn After Reading last week, I'll keep my hopes up.
I feel the same way about Pitt. I liked him in Se7en and Fight Club, those movies kicked ass! BUT...it's Tarantino, look at all the people he has had in his films that others thought could not pull it off!
As for Stallone...I could not see that, I would have been REALLY surprised if he got that part. Wait...isnt Mike Myers supposed to be in this!?
according to Patrick at Corona, this is what he wrote:
Who's In It: Brad Pitt (Lt. Aldo Raine), Christoph Waltz (Colonel Hans Landa), Melanie Laurent (Shosanna), Diane Kruger (Bridget von Hammersmark), Mike Myers (General Ed Fenech)
so.. yeah... he is. i thought Brad Pitt's character was Aldo REY not Raine (if you remember, Rey was also mentioned in From dusk till Dawn as the town they were driving too, and again in Planet Terror (El WRAY) was Freddy rodriguez character
