After seeing the new Winnie the Pooh trailer, I got all nostalgiac for the old Disney Channel. You know, the one that didn't suck? Here's some reminders:

I recognize Pooh Corner from a pirated VHS my mother got for me when I was in Germany. I recognize Kids Incorporated from PBS.
I wasn't aware of the existence of cable until I went to visit my father in the summer of 1986.
My mother waited until I was a college student to get cable.
All but Adventures in Wonderland were early 80s. Wonderland is clearly early 90s.
Honey bunches.....of death!

KV, what year or years did these air? I didn't recognize a single one of them from childhood. I had a pretty sheltered childhood, when it relates to TV. When I was the age where I would have watched these, we had 3 channels in my house, ABC, NBC and CBS that you had to change by turning the knob on the TV. There was a UHF knob that had many more channels, but a quick turn through resulted in getting 2 fuzzy channels that you couldn't watch. One of those ended up becoming the local Fox affiliate some 15-20 years later. Later, in my teens, my parents decided to get this new thing called a satellite dish. It was 8' across and made out of fiber glass. It took a few minutes to turn and point to a new satellite, so it made channel surfing very difficult. My eyes were opened to a whole new world of television.
These clips remind me of everything I was missing out on and those suppressed feelings are coming back...back to the therapist.
