The Princess and the Frog

Posted by The Swollen Goi... on Monday, March 16, 2009

Teaser

There's some nice, hybrid Disney/Warner Bros. style animation going on with the Frog.

I'm not too keen on this (seemingly) existing solely to add a new princess to the Disney princess line, but I am happy at the prospect of seeing a new 2-D Disney feature.

It sounds like she is saying "How about a nice fur man shake?" at the end.

This story tells of an earlier release. We also get to talkin' 'bout Randy Newman in the comment section. It eventually devolves into me defending his honor. (Go on and read it! I am, as usual, gentle and persuasive in my general correctness.)

Anyway, I make the point that he spent much of his life in New Orleans. He seems to have a special affinity for the place (having written a number of songs about it), and is often embraced as a "New Orleans musician" (though he's probably spent a good deal more time in California). So, anyway, I think he is particularly suited to this movie--maybe more so than he was to previous Disney movies for which he wrote music.
