I don't get to watch many cartoons outside of Spongebob, Flapjack, and Phineas and Ferb, but every once in a while, I get to see Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Holy crap is it HILARIOUS!

I presume Spammity has recovered from her recent brush with the Pig Flu ?
Anyone..... Bueller..... ??
I have! Well, mostly. I'm still coughing, but I tend to cough for months after brief illnesses, purely to make everyone think I have pneumonia.
I've just been buried under all the final papers that are coming due at the beginning of December -- Sunday and Monday were devoted to the history paper, which is thank god DONE and got a pretty good response in peer review. We also turned in the grant, which isn't as good as it could be, but my parts are much better and I think I can explain that to the professor. Even though my nonprofits class was listed as a rhetoric course, rhetoric courses get bombed with the Bridging Disciplines Program kids from exciting majors like petroleum engineering and chemical waste management who decide out of nowhere to take an upper-division writing course, because if writing was actually hard, humanities students wouldn't be able to do it. (I hate BDP students so much. All of them are in fraternities and sororities and none of them can write, but all of them think they can.)
However, all I have left are revisions and a take-home test before the end of the semester. I have never been happier to see finals approach. This year was AWFUL and I wasn't even taking a full course load. At least next semester I'll have two giant ampitheater classes to balance the intensive seminar groups.
In other news, I'm driving back up to Dallas for Thanksgiving today. Pray for me.
Grant money? There are websites that offer girls lots of money to "act" in a few "scenes." I bet there's a lot less paperwork involved.
I've seen those auditions. I admire their dedication to the craft of acting. HOORAY METHOD ACTING!
Do you think they need the random photocopier repair man in the background of the scene?
Photocopier repair man? No. Equipped photocopier repair man? Yes.
Things like this make me depressed...
And then things like this make me happy!
I fucking love the muppets

Holy fuckiing shit. My worst motherfucking nightmare, playing over and over and over and over and over and over and OVER!
I wish I could see images and videos in these threads at work, but the firewall blocks them. Sometimes it is just fun to speculate what the hell you guys are talking about!!

It's a book signing at Border's Books by Sarah Palin, and all her fans speaking about what makes her so awesome and why she is going to be the next president. Seriously, listening to THEM makes her sound like she's a card-carrying member of Mensa. If this country ever falls into Civil War....
I like the answers -- "She'll stand up for America."
Q: "What do you think about her foreign policy?"
A1: "I don't know much about it."
A2: "The Russians were across the street from where she was. She was the first line of defense if they drove over to our side."
Q: "How is Obama taking away your freedoms?"
A: "I don't know specifically. I believe he is."
Okay. So. In the interest of clarity, I have drunk just over half a label's worth of Jack Daniel's.
Do you guys ever feel like the people in your life, they listen to what you say, but they don't remember it? I keep track of my friends' professors, their woes, etc., but they can't remember anything that happens in my life. It's like all my life is filler and theirs is what really matters. I don't feel like I have anyone in my life that actually keeps track and cares what happens to me or how I'm doing.
I don't know if what I notice is even happening. I think a lot of this is because I'm all emotional because of PMS. Speaking of which, how much does it suck that, as a woman, sometimes I have to question what I feel and figure out whether it's based on random hormonal shifts? It makes everything else I feel suspect.
I don't even know what I'm talking about. I'm trying to make a booklist for a friend of mine who ABSOLUTLEY CANNOT WRITE but thinks he wants to be a writer. Tell me what to do.
I keep crying for what feels like no reason and I'm starting to get worried about it. I don't know what's going on. No one believes me when I say I think something's wrong and I don't know what to do. I hate being so young.

I get yelled at all the time by the wife for not remembering stuff she tells me. I remember work stuff, but have trouble with the household schedules, or what gifts we'd previously discussed getting someone. She keeps lists for all that and reviews them often, but expects me to remember it. I've got too much work junk in my head or am too busy running to do whatever's next on my to-do list (usually given to me by her) to remember what we're getting our friends' kids for their birthdays in four months.

Hard to believe, there was a time when the Republican Party stood for rugged individualism and personal freedom, and it attracted high achievers and educated, strong-minded citizens.
They're still around, but increasingly it seems to be a dumping ground for hordes of drooling, brainwashed idiots.
Ah, well, fun to watch at least.

Sounds like the only thing here is that you care, in general, more than they do. That is nothing to be ashamed of or worry about. It's people like you that make stuff happen. It is also people like you are self sufficient and who cope best in a crisis.
Haha, love it! They basically just watched the mouth-movements and added in random stuff.

No way that's anything but a joke....
Check out the link. It's definitely an eye bleeder.

Sharon has a page there for celebrity advice.
Fred also has a youtube account, where he is active with the ongoing comments.

It reminds me of used car commercials late at night on local stations in the 70's.
Usually during a terrible horror movie.
Utterly amazing. But hey, they're having fun, right?
I posted this ages ago elsewhere, and just found it again, and it's on my facebook as well. I love this.
Completely badass.
She's a tad crazy, but she's dirty and hilarious! Thin Debra Monk singing "Everybody's Girl".
Now here's some REAL crazy. Fat Liza singing "Some People". She never stops moving, sweats like a pig, crazies out several times, and even misses the mic right at the beginning! From the same show as the above video.

I also need to remove that "perchance." It's gummin' up the works.
