Garrett Hedlund has been cast in the leading role for Tron 2 states The Hollywood Reporter. The name of Hedlund's character wasn't mentioned but the magazine adds that his character will have a similar story arc as the one Jeff Bridges portrayed in the original 1982 Tron, a programmer that was zapped into the virtual world that exists inside computers and forced to play games that could end his life.

Hedlund's past acting credits include Four Brothers, Troy, Eragon, Georgia Rule and Death Sentence. [Full story]
