January 28, 2009 - Tomb Raider III / Warner Bros. developing reboot

Word breaks that Warner Bros. is developing a new Tomb Raider movie, one that would relaunch the Lara Croft character with a new actress in the role. The Warner movie wouldn't share any story connections to the two previous Paramount films.

Producing the new Tomb Raider will be Dan Lin. Ian Livingstone, the former Eidos executive that helped create the digital heroine, will receive an executive producer credit. No other talent is attached yet to the project; story pitches are presently being entertained by the producers. [Full story]
