July 2, 2009 - Public Enemies / $8.2 million dollar opening day

On its opening day yesterday Public Enemies grossed an estimated $8.2 million dollars from 3,391 screens. That makes the film the third highest-grossing for Wednesday after Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs ($13.8m) and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen ($10.9m).
