June 19, 2010 - Toy Story 4 / Lee Unkrich on another sequel
Scooped on Saturday, June 19, 2010
Back in 1995 the policy at Pixar was to never make a sequel. Now, with a Toy Story trilogy complete, could there ever be another movie in the series or is that it? Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich was asked that question by MSN Movies and gave this open-ended answer:
"Well, I really tried my best to end the story of Andy and his toys and bring that story to a close in a really nice way at the end of this film. That being said, we know that people love the characters, love Woody and Buzz, and would hate to say good-bye to them completely. I don't know that there would ever be a [Toy Story] 4. We don't have any plans for one -- but we are trying to find ways to keep the characters alive. We have announced we're going to do a short film in front of Cars 2 that uses the Toy Story characters. We're going to keep them alive; they're not going away forever."

I have a funny feeling that there might be a "Toy Story 4"! Even though Bonnie has the toys now. I know she can't keep them forever, and it's a long journey to get past Sid which is rumored to be a garbage man. I sense that one day Bonnie will outgrow the toys too, but she would end up donating them around Christmas to kids that don't have toys. Even though Bo Peep got sold, I somehow sense a Woody and Bo Peep reunion, in opinon I have a gut feeling that Santa Claus has given Bo Peep new outfits, and some kind of paste so that she won't break ever again using bullet proof glass material, and that all of our favorite toys we grew up and love is now living at the North Pole, but one could never forget that each of the toys grew up with the great memories of both Andy, and Bonnie, and that they will forever live within their hearts, I'd say a trip to the North Pole is indeed the final chapter of all the Toy Stories combined.
