June 26, 2011 - Green Lantern 2 / sequel plans still moving ahead

Even though the audience fell a sharp 66% in its second weekend, Warner Bros. is still keen on making a sequel to Green Lantern. The first film has now earned $89 million dollars on a rumored budget of $200 million -- and that's before marketing costs. Sources inform The Hollywood Reporter that the studio "still believes in the franchise" despite the less than stellar box office figures.

well thats good... they should still green light a WonderWoman movie and try to release a few more comic related movies each summer... Marvel has three this summer, DC has only one offering every two or three years.
