June 3, 2009 - Stretch Armstrong / Brian Grazer to produce, movie greenlit

Universal has greenlit a live action film based on Hasbro's action figure Stretch Armstrong. The film has a release date -- April 15, 2011 -- and a powerhouse producer helping it get to the finish line in the form of Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind).

"Stretch Armstrong is a character I have wanted to see onscreen for a long time," Grazer is quoted as saying by Variety. "He's an unconventional kind of superhero with a power that no one would want." [Full story]
