November 15, 2009 - My Name is Memory / project announced

The screen rights to Ann Brashares' forthcoming fantasy romance novel My Name is Memory has been sewen up by New Regency and producer Peter Chernin. Described as a cross between The Time Traveler's Wife and Twilight, Brashares novel is about a college-aged couple and the man's admission to the woman that he remembers all of their past lives and failed attempts to be together throughout the ages. The book will be published by Riverhead Books next June.

The rights to the novel were in a three way bidding war with New Regency, Warner Bros. and Universal. The deal closed for high six-figures against seven.
